Esketamine Treatment

Fast-Acting Relief for Treatment-Resistant Depression

SPRAVATO® (Esketamine) is the only FDA-approved nasal spray for adults with treatment-resistant depression that can be taken with or without an oral antidepressant, for rapid improvement of depressive symptoms and reduction in suicidal ideations.

Esketamine is a derivative of Ketamine and it can help reduce depression symptoms when antidepressants haven’t worked well for you. Unlike other antidepressants it has unique mechanism of action by working on NMDA receptors.

What Is Spravato®?

Spravato® (esketamine) is a nasal spray medication administered under medical supervision in the office setting. Unlike standard antidepressants, it works on the brain’s NMDA receptors to enhance the “neuroplasticity” to restore healthy brain connections and improvement in depression symptoms.
Spravato Treatment is FDA approved and covered by most insurance plans, whereas IV infusion treatment is also effective, but it is not FDA approved and not covered by your insurance plan.

Studies show many patients begin to feel symptom improvement within 24–48 hours after treatment.
